RICHLAND (MO)- The Richland Police Department, Acting Chief Jaime Solis (402) released a post on the Richland Police Department Facebook Page.

"Good Morning Richland! It appears several motor vehicles were tampered with last night, most likely thieves looking for cash, change or anything else they can use immediately. Most importantly, don’t leave valuable items in your vehicles.

Please do your part and make sure you’re locking those car doors. They pull door handles to find the unlocked ones. Very rarely will they smash a window or shimmy a lock because of time constraint and noise. Let’s don’t help the thieves steal our own property." Says, Richland Acting Chief, Jaime Solis.

Richland Corporal said there were reported about a Dozen cars that were rummaged through.

With That Happening, Lock your cars, and don't leave valuable items in your car.
