Grocery retailer Hy-Vee, which has several locations in the Mid-Missouri area, has issued a voluntary recall on some Cheesecakes sold at over one hundred locations due to a potential salmonella risk.
The Iowa-based supermarket chain said that cheesecakes made with Diamond Crystal brand cheesecake mix will be pulled from Hy-Vee stores after a notification from a supplier.
The recall includes 32 different varieties of cheesecakes sold in 8-ounce and 32-ounce packaging with 'best if used by' dates between December 6, 2018 and January 11, 2019.
Customers are being asked to not eat the cakes and to dispose of them or return them for a full refund.
Thankfully, no illnesses have been reported.
