The egg has become a sensation over the past 48 hours, garnering attention from media outlets and social media celebrities. The egg quickly grew from less then 2 million likes a mere 36 hours ago to surpassing the 18.2 million likes record early Sunday night.

The egg had over 19.4 million likes and one million followers as of 7:50 pm Sunday night.
